BUTTERFLY CRAFT

Would you like to be a part of a public art installation?

Pick up a kit to paint a monarch butterfly with Rima Makaryan from The Monarch Project, which "aims to humanize and support the immigrants in our community by telling their stories through art and raising awareness about the injustices they face".

Look below for Rima's tutorial video on here on the crafts page! Make sure to return your painted butterfly to the library by February 6th so that it be used to create a public art installation here in Sonoma County!

Pick up a kit anytime between January 19th and January 29th while supplies last at the Petaluma Regional Library and return your painted butterfly to the library by February 6th .

Learn more about The Monarch Project at their website!

All gone!

We are out of the butterfly craft kits at the library but you can still watch the video to find out what supplies you need to get to make your own butterfly at home to bring to the library!

LARPING DURING QUARANTINE

Christopher Melville is an expert in all things LARPing and often participates in our LumaCon event by leading sword making and LARPing festivities. Join us for a live Zoom session in which Chris will discuss how LARPing has been changed by the quarantine and ways in which you can adapt these activities even during these trying times.

Pick up a kit of LARPing sword materials from the Petaluma Regional Library starting January 19th, 2021. Available one per patron while supplies last! Learn more about LARPing here!

All gone!

We are out of the sword making kits at the library but you can still register for the event or watch the video to find out what supplies you need to get to make your own sword at home!
